This thread and others are reminding me to take time out on my own and just go shoot some things. The mindset is completely different from shooting for work. There's a sense of wonder tinged with excitement, and a sense of capturing something for the future. I try to get in at least two dedicated days for this each year, but there ought to be many more.
 
My job is as a hotel clerk. I enjoy it but it's just what I to to keep a roof, to eat & buy gear :)

To shoot is what I do to live.
