Voigtlander M 35/1.4 Nokton Images

Nate Cantrell, who was on RFF as ‘staticpix,’ shot these during the last year or so of his life. They’re not only very good but are sentimental to me because we were street shooting friends in Eugene, Oregon, because he was using the 35/1.4 on an M4 I had sold him, and because after he died of cancer, I bought the M4 with this lens from his widow. Shortly afterward I connected her with a gallery to do an overview of Nate’s work.

You can see other staticpix images by searching this lens in the Lens Browser, or search by username in the gallery.

"Staticpx" found his images after a bit of searching, Robert :D

Oh thank you for sleuthing that, Nigel. I’ll fix the post above. Nate was a dear man and it’s a sorrow he’s gone. His feel for street portraits was superb.

Leica M240, 1.4/35mm Nokton SC... This Nokton 35mm is fitted with UV/IR Cut filter pushing neutral corners to a hint of cyan. That and mild corner fall-off fixed with CornerFix, not really necessary. Lens coded as Leica 35mm Summilux Pre. Some purple fringing fixed in LR, EXIFChanger inserted lens info. Looks like this aggressive little fir tree is pushing over the fence. Central Washington.

M8

Shooting with leaves in the background often does some crazy things but in this case I kind of like it :)

Shooting this lens stopped down is showing a another side of it that makes me love it even more.
