Why would a "lomographist" need to buy from Lomography if really the same stuff was available from another dealer, with less price? Is the thing really to buy stuff from Lomography? . I think not, except if you have too much extra money and no interest to try find another place to buy them.
I once (as a beginner) got interested in Lomography and even registered to the "society", but I never even thought of buying from them with those prices. I still own a Holga and used to have an LC-a. Actually I've taken a lot of nice photos with them both too... But I've never really been "lomographing" and I always felt that the stuff they represent is stupid.
Merkin, nice post and it is interesting to know they actually were business students. No wonder, nice business for the seller... Anyone with some basic knowledge should realize what is going on when looking at the prices and doing any comparison.
