Winner 21/1.8 Voigtlander Contest

Everyone, thank you for all your very kind comments. I've only entered but a few photo contests, never imagining I would win one. It's pretty humbling, especially considering the level and volume of talent found on this forum.

Some info on the image - some may recognize the location as being the stairs that one can view from a distance in MOMA. I rarely spend much time waiting for a shot but this time I waited long enough to have taken four shots - with the intent of capturing a solitary figure in the entire scene. If anyone is familiar with the crowds that move through MOMA, it's obvious that I got very lucky.

Again, thank you to those who voted for my picture as well as to all of your comments on this thread...

Very nice. You have more patience than I. :) People here have good taste - thats an excellent image.

...

I spent an evening going through everything I'd taken this year with a rangefinder, trying to find shots worth entering. I ended up with these but hoped I'd take something better at the last minute. I failed to enter anything in the end as none felt competitive with the excellent work that was already up. I never did settle on the best pair to run with:

Congratulations Tuna, and I'd like to add my thanks to Stephen and all those who entered. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing all the images.

I missed the whole competition and haven't seen any of the contenders, I assume there's a thread I can track down with all of the entries? Great prize too!

Congratulations to Tuna, cracking image and I'm not surprised Tuna won as he's a very talented photographer. Well done to everyone else too, I'm now off to try and find the thread with the other entries.
