For those that are interested, Hasselblad produced a smooth pressure plate for use with Kodak High Speed Infrared to address any potential pinpoint reflections from the standard plate. Hasselblad USA still has it in stock and the cost is about $60.

I have seen such problems arise when using and scanning Maco IR 820c with my Olympus OM-2n.

Cheers,
Paul

I shot HIE in the one I had but never had a problem. It may have been luck.

I sold it a few years ago and really regret it and selling my 617 Fuji. Bad move!

Hi guys,
do you know if this plate you mention is also needed to shoot Ilford SFX200 on the Xpan?
If so, were can it be bought?

Thanks in advance,
E.C.

I think that the Kodak film requires it primarily because it lacks an anti-halation layer. Efke Aura also lacks this layer.
