tent revival - Prichard Alabama
tent revival - Prichard Alabama
I spotted a big tent as I was passing through south Alabama on the interstate last Sunday night when something told me I should take the next exit and go back. I found myself at a fundamentalist religion tent revival in Prichard Alabama, a predominantly Negro, economically disadvantaged, and high crime community. Bingo! I learned Brother Reid had been bringing his revival here for 15 years and this was their 11th night of this years tour. The $40,000 tent hold 800 people but appeared only half full. I suspect the sound system and lighting cost more than the tent.
One of 3 warm up preachers. There were also several musical sessions.
Brother Reid, main man and owner of the revival
After Brother Reid spread the word of Jesus for an hour
A sinner who came forward so Brother Reid could cast Satan out of his soul and help him accept Jesus
One of many who came forward for the faith healing portion. He was cured of his asthma
Some felt the need to be baptized and tank was ready for them
