RFF EuroMeet, Florence, April 10-11 2010

I'll be in Bologna on Saturday, but busy all day long.. I'll be back in Florence Saturday night.
What's the meeting point and time for Sunday morning? Please.. :) I need to know it in advance because I'll not be with you on Saturday.
Nico is the Bar "Colle Bereto" the one near Palazzo Strozzi? your link gives me many POIs.
What about meeting there also on Sunday? (just a proposal..)

Rob.

Roberto, I can text you the place on Saturday when we know.

If you click the Google map for the meet you can see the exact location of the bar, here it is: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie...30143142361563.00047c66e83da4445ef3a&t=h&z=11

hahaha don't worry Nico i'll be in perfect shape and ready to eat delicious italian meals with a few cameras arround my neck!

Good point Simon...Barça Vs Madrid on saturday evening...with few birras??

Also : if you're interesting in picturesque train journeys, the old Firenze-Pistoia-Porretta-Bologna line, the first Bologna-Toscana link opened in 1863, is truly amazing. If you have a look on googlemaps you can see that it's got some gorgeous train hairpins, which is very impressive. Takes you about 2h30 for the whole journey, but what a journey! Also, at Pistoia train station, some Ferrovia dello Stato oldies are being rebuilt/conserved.

I'm wondering if those who are around on Friday evening would like to meet up here:

Il Brincello Srl‎
Via Nazionale, 110
50123 Firenze
055 282645

If so, please let me know and I'll try to book at table for 8pm as Friday evenings are probably busy.

I was sad to discover that the big camera shop on the side of Santa Maria dei Fiori, that sported a huge cardboard Leica III on the shope window, had closed and been replaced by a Ben and Jerry's... (in the mother country of Ice Creams!!) The inside hasn't changed much but I still can remember trying a then new Bessa R2a with a collapsible Summicron 5 years ago!

Nori, the gentleman with the two Leicas (sounds like a novel) is probably joining you on saturday. Nice to make all RF fans meet and gather!

Btw, I have an extra bed in my flat so anyone who'd need a night in Bologna before living is more than welcome to come and share a dinner!

A huge thanks to all the friendly and funny people I met saturday in Firenze!
I hope you had a nice sunday, and thanks Kully for the the shots I took with his beautiful M8 and Gf1

Ciao a tutti!
Franco

I got home just before midnight last night and now I'm back at work, wondering how the weekend could pass so fast?!

Thank you all for a fantastic weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

Yep, rolled back into Blighty around midnight last night to be confronted by a massive queue through immigration, kind of hit home the weekend was over at that point!

It was a cracking weekend and really good to put faces to some well known names as well as some new ones. Thanks everyone for making it such fun.

...now I've just got to trawl through all the pics to try and find one or two half decent ones, looking forward to seeing the Flickr page ( which reminds me I'd better join Flickr:D )
