Point and Shoot AF Classics - post yours

I've just got my pics back from my Fuji DL Supermini Zoom. Astounding! Sharp with fantastic rich color. I used to have the none zoom version years ago which I stupidly sold. When a beat up zoom version came up on the Bay I snapped it up for £17. The zoom sounds like it's about to die a horrible death, but still works. My first film was processed by Costco and was all washed out. I suspected the camera was hosed or Costco had old developer. It has taken me about a year to try again. This time Jessops developed it and the pics are amazing. Night and day compared the the one's developed by Costco. Same film type(Fuji) both times and both films well within expiry date. So I now know the answer to the Costco quandry!!! Thing is, no matter how good the film or the camera is, if the place processing messes it up then the results will ALWAYS be poor.

Even beat up, this camera astounds. I've love to snaffle a mint one...

Same experience here. I developed the first film on an 6-months old ID-11 and the results where nice but flat. Then I developed the second film on fresh ID-11 and the pics where amazing. I've posted a couple of them on another thread (here and here).

Fuji DL-800 Zoom:

Fujinon zoom lens 40-80mm. 1989

When the camera is turned onn, the flash pop-ups automatically and zooms with the focal length.

Also when zooming, the focal length is shown on the LCD status display.

Nice Pair!

How do you like the GR1? I just bought a GR1s and it should arrive in a week or two. Can't wait to see what it's like.

Well it arrived today :)

The build quality is very nice and I like how the dials are placed.

I like that you have a lot of control, without the need of pushing a lot of buttons to go through menues.

First roll is in, so I think I should go shooting some stuff today. :D

Posted this in the Leica M show-off. I guess it belongs here too.

Ricoh GR1s (and Leica M7) shot with GRD3.

My latest aquisition. Also my only film camera. Got this baby cheap 2 days ago and now running my first roll through it. The seller was the first owner, who bought it new in 2002 so I have all the original boxes and user manuals etc.. belt holster too :)

Can't wait to see what you think of it. Love mine.

This one intrigues me, the Ricoh FF-8WR:

If it has anywhere near the IQ of the FF-90/FF-70 in a 28mm focal length, that would be cool.

Let me know if you ever decide to part with this guy. I'm kind of doing this little project where I'm using 28mm cameras/lenses (sort of inspired by my GRD3). I'm finding 28mm point and shoot cameras a bit hard to come by. Seems the 32-38mm range is more popular... :D
