Godfrey, Your presentation is always nice and the earlier images you posted here were really nice! I like these as well. The second one "The Look"looks hot off the file :)

JCrutcher, I also like the toning, that it is at 1600, taken with a favorite lens, and from the Mission District! (I lived for a time at 25th and Bryant many years back :)

David

Thank you David. Yes Mission dist 16th and Valencia. We were walking to Luna Park for dinner, have you been there?

Jim

I like the toning and overall look of this image, would you mind sharing what you did in post? Did this originate as a RAW (DNG) file?

Thanks,
--Steve

Thank you Steve! This is right out of camera. I shoot both DNG and JPG and had the jpeg set for "Vintage B&W" in camera. It was shot -2/3 EV at 1/45. I downloaded it into my IPAD (which will only take the JPG's not raw) and cleaned it up with Snapspeed very slightly. I'm now home so I'll try to duplicate the look with DNG file. That's why I shoot both, these M9's do a fabulous job processing JPG's. and it gives me a guide. Thanks again!

Jim

Jim, congratulations on your Monochrom. There seems to be something wrong with it. I see a big red splotch in the middle of this picture. Beautiful shot.

Here's the next round of pix from the Sonnar-C 50! (I 'm loving this lens! Looks as good as my '59 Summilux, is half the weight, has a shorter focus throw and less flare!)

Looks like it came optimized for f/1.5 focus, because it's spot-on wide open.

I shot the whole party b/w, I picked up one of those dinky little holga flashes for the price of a nice lunch and used the green filter on it. Worked wonders.
