Nice kit there keytarjunkie! I've never tried one so the Canon 28/3.5 is the lens that intrigues me the most. Plus there's something oddly satisfying about sticking a Canon lens on a Nikon body :)

That's a fantastic kit, with the 25! And the 35/1.8. :) How often do you use the 135?

I bought it to go with the external viewfinder, haha! It’s not very practical but still brings me a lot of joy. For decades this was most people’s limit for telephoto photography. I’d like to get the 10.5cm f/4 which pairs better with the S3, but the complete 10.5cm kit is very expensive and I don’t use telephoto lenses often enough.

Yes I agree! It was not a lens that I had planned on purchasing but I couldn’t pass on it. The Canon 28 and Nikkor 2.5cm both need some service, and I’ve been fixing/cleaning a lot of other lenses myself, but I am very nervous about these ones. I will probably pay for a professional to do it.

KEH was happy to sell me this early 3.5cm f/3.5 MIOJ for $80. I just needed to re-set the optical block because the aperture setting dot was facing the wrong way. The lettering needs a repaint, but I was leaning towards leaving it as-is. The design of this lens is stunning, I never really appreciated it until I held one in my hands. The "fluted bezel" reminds me of a Rolex Datejust. Does anyone know the thread size of the small internal filter thread? I have seen a few of these sporting tiny filters, though I imagine they are really hard to find.

that's a deal! you should be able to use some paint stick to fill in the white. not sure about the filter size. I have the same lens in LTM, it's quite good.

My S4 right after it came back from service at Pro Camera in Charlottesville, VA (who did a great job) last month. Of course, I cosmetically damaged the camera in an accident the next day, but c'est la vie (it's fine mechanically). Taking lens was a '51-2 Tokyo version of the 5cm/1.4 Nikkor-S in LTM.

And what a sweet watch too! I'm also a fan of those Daini Seikos, especially the fly-back chronos :)

I was very fortunate to acquire this Biogon from a fellow RFF member last year. So far I have only manged to shoot a few rolls with it on my S2. The Nikon looks great wearing the CZ lens and Leitz finder.

Nice, all you need is a Canon accessory & you'll have something from every major 1950s RF system!

Got a great deal on this early SP in the classifieds because it needed a film counter transplant. Easy enough! Now it's working well. I also picked up a 2.5cm finder to match the lens, all I need now is the lens hood :(

I have enough gear and notes that I'm thinking of starting my own little Nikon RF blog or youtube page.
