Canada Up for another Toronto gathering?

OK, the Harp in Port Credit? I'm not sure what time I can be there, hopefully around 4:00. Maybe we could just agree on a time to meet there, then hit the pier while the light is still good. There's free parking beside that fish restaurant behind the Harp.
I'll check the weather.
Anybody in?

Randy, I've been following this in case I could make it. It doesn't look possible this time. I'm committed to meetings etc Friday. I'm always up for a social drink and some photo talk but this time I can't.

"safe trip" and of course you have an American passport to gain entry back into the US .. right? If not you could call and I'll give you a sofa until you figure out how to return...

cheers, Jan

Port Credit is probably out for me. I'll watch this space and try to make it if that's the chosen destination.

Okay, guys, I (finally) made it to Toronto (actually Richmond Hill/Markham area). Spent an extra 6 hours at Chicago O'Hare airport due to a cancelled flight and further delays. Anyways, I'm here now and about to hit the sack to rest up for an early morning meeting.

As for what we're doing and where we meet, I'm open to whatever you guys want to do. Lunch in one place/area and afternoon/drinks/dinner in another works for me if that works best for everyone's locale. Friday is open right now so I'm game for whatever.

Will check the forum again tomorrow to see what's up.

Goodnight,
Randy

P.S. Thanks for your offer, Jan. Yep, I remembered my passport so I'm safe (for now!).

It looks like a north location is convenient for more of us, though even then we'll be a small group. Any suggestions, Frank? Randy probably hasn’t had much time to scout out a good photogenic pub. Friday is tomorrow...

Looking over the posts of people who responded, it seems that Mike and Eduard are up for the Harp in Port Credit. Mike could also make it to a downtown location. PeterC and I could make it to a north location (Markham?). Guy, I don't know your preference. Everyone else couldn't make it. If that is incorrect, please speak up!

Yeah, looks like north location is more convinient for everyone. i'm bailing. Looks like i have to change my route tomorrow to pick up my package at fedex location in mississauga before they send it back. these fedexers are nightmire, they don't want to hear of delivering before 8 AM or after 7 PM, or delivering to alternative place where I actually am during _their_ deliveries time. They're probably good for businesses and people who sits at one location all the time. For me it just doesn't work - they charge 3 times more than regular post and custom duties are 20% more than expected for some reason; as well as I have to pick up my package in a city nearby of my place instead of regular post office one block away. Sorry for offtopic - but maybe useful one for torontian folks shopping gear in US.
Have a good time guys,
Eduard.

Mike (mikeh & dadsm3 are the same guy) seems to be ok with North. I fully admit I don't count well, but it looks to me that North is likely the best draw. I'm free after 10:30, so I'm able to go where the crowd is. My preference is free beer & several rolls worth of beautiful potential images, but I'll go anywhere the compromises of reality take us.

I'm in.....But I thought we were talkin' Vaughan or Woodbridge.....isn't Markham near Peterborough?

Ha! Randy is in Richmond Hill, aren't Vaughan and Woodbridge over near Hamilton?

I only said Woodbridge cuz I like Italian women. Markham to Hamilton is quite a hike....and it's a pretty whitebread town for a darkie like me......

Well then we'll eat good no matter where we go...pick a spot, hopefully not too close to Nova Scotia. The 407 is closed at 9:30pm from the 427 westbound.....let me get home at least.
