I didn't see any image threads for this old dog lens, but I have been carrying light lately and find myself using it for daily use when I want a portable 50mm. Mine has minor cleaning marks, and the barrel is beat up, but I'm learning to love her. Since this is a relatively cheap lens, I am thinking people might have some cool shots from it laying around. I'll kick it off with some.
All shot on an M2 or M6 with mostly HP5. The landscape stuff was FP4

I have the LTM version, which I understand from other threads is optically the same as the M version. Taken wide open at closest focus:

It might be an old dog, but one of the best lenses for black and white photography - period. Many people like to hang on to it.
This old German Shepard is a keeper.

These are great! I’m a bit surprised how this lens seems to be overlooked in favor of the later crons. Mine isn’t pristine by any means, but it seems the moderate coating marks have little impact on the final result. I absolutely love the glow of reflected highlights with this lens.

Took me forever to buy one (ended up with two horrible ones, and some lost $$$) - can't wait to try it out

M6, Bergger 400@800. I wasn't a fan of this film the few times I tried it. Back to HP5 for me!

Would someone who has both, speak to the differences between a late Summitar & the collapsible Summicron.
