I recently got this lens and have been very impressed with it.

Mark, your seascape image is inspiring! The two people standing on the rocky hilltop is a perfect touch for adding a sense of scale to the image. Earlier this year I was taking pictures of waves crashing on the rocky coast of Jogashima Island. The scene was magnificent except that there was nothing in the picture to give it that sense of scale. I was in awe of the magnitude of what mother nature was doing but to anyone else looking at my photograph it could have been a dinky wave splashing on some small rocks on a beach.

Anyway, your image is really well done! I hope you’ll be sharing more in the future.

All the best,
Mike

Thanks a lot, Mike. I was lucky that the two people were standing there when I arrived at the scene and the 16mm framing was perfect for the shot. I printed this image yesterday at around 11x14 (A3 paper) and it looks nice. The lens is very sharp and I could easily print it larger. It's becoming a favourite of mine on the XT2.

Cheers,
Mark
