I really like the X10.
It's sensor is larger than most compact digitals, but it still suffers from that slightly plasticy looks that small digital sensors give, but I have to enlarge the images for it to be really glaring.
The manual zoom is wonderful as is being able to just twist to turn on. On the other hand when you need to turn the camera on to connect to the PC or what have you, you have to fumble with the lens cap.
The viewfinder is pretty much useless in my opinion. It's very small, doesn't show the whole field of view and is like looking through a dim tunnel.
Other than those minor grievances though I love it, as does my wife.
However, I would rather the new Sony if I was buying now.
