Mike,
What is the current bid or BIN?
Thanks.

UK seller, I think it was listed for $1900 but not sure it sold. It had a scratch on the rear element and oil on the blades.

My lens has number 181833 (C).
Hm. This the same lens as shown above ...

Interesting, Raid. When did you acquire that lens, perhaps from Johan? I think that's the one I sold him.

Yes, I got this lens from Johan. It is a very nice looking lens, by the way.

Who currently owns my old lens, #181787?
I'd always wondered what happened to his eyebrows, now we know...

Hahahaha that looks pretty painful
Just added the new serial numbers to the list. Interesting to see a few lenses doing the rounds of RFF members!

So incestuous.
Similar to genes, it's less like a lens pool around here and more like a lens puddle.

That concisely sums up what I was thinking!
"Welcome to the RFF lens puddle"
... sounds kinda gross

Yes, that's about as primo of a 60 year old lens as can be!
The best ones need to stay in the RFF puddle.

Here's mine, Jon.
The image isn't showing for me now. Anyway, it's 181939, with a C.
Thanks James. I just added it.
1533 difference between earliest and latest s/n's. Not many at all, and I think due to manufacturing defects etc. its unlikely Nikon used every serial number in the block, so maybe the actual number of lenses is only 90% to 95% of that.

Pete,
The world is not that big. LOL.
BTW I hooked up Ben above with his lens. I told him if he ever sells it, we are no longer friends. LOL.

181326 with a "C" was recently sold at the Tamarkin auction (Sadly. I didn't win it and the search continues...)
