M8 Photos

Thank you for the nice compliment JSU.
I do admit a fondness for LR's creamtone preset. From there I re-adjust the levels and check sharpness.
I'll also admit that I've been struggling with blown highlight, but am living with it for now.

A few frames from a Japanese Obon festival down the street from my house.

Decided to brave taking my camera to the pub. I think it was worth it.

M8 and 40mm Summicron
Not exactly brave - it's a camera after all, but great you did this - post more!

Welcome to the forum ;-)

Here is a quite static yet fun experiment on a Rangefinder (no RF coupling for sure) !!

Mounting a 200 T2.0 cine Nikkor lens !

Jean-Marc, I really wish for such interesting combos, to become more useful with the M in the future (who knows, what a M10 might bring :D).

There's some really cool stuff in this thread. I just got an M8 and I have this super crap Russian Jupiter 8 that back focuses like crazy...but when you get it in focus (mostly) it really does glow - interesting...here are some of my first images taken with this camera...

Congrats on your acquisition michaelm6 !
Seems like the Jupiter 8 still delivers :)

I'm having trouble with the blooming reds...

Cheers
JM

Driving home...had to take a detour due to an accident...went right past an old abandoned drive in movie theatre...snapped these before the skies opened up an unholy fury of rain and lightning...definitely worth a revisit.

This is seriously difficult and can only be understood by people, who did this before.
Shooting RC cars, especially the fast competition cars is way more difficult, than shooting real racing. They are so much quicker in acceleration and turning!

I shot a day of RC car racing prior to this years Le Mans 24h, to warm up again - great fun :D

Here is some from the 24h of Le Mans - M8.2 + Canon 100/2 LTM:

… going to the RC car racetrack is now on my regular schedule before a motorsports event.

Thanks Menos...those are some nice race shots there!

The RC cars FLY...but like you said it is possible, but takes a different approach. NONE of these were shot in that blasing fast 2fps...didn't figure that was much faster than my ole finger.

I hope others will start show their action M shots too.
