Nikon Rangefinder Month - March 2021

I ordered the Rollei film from MacoDirect, that's where I order most films that cannot be purchased locally. FotoImpex is also very good for film, very competitive pricing.

Two more from the same roll as above.

So... this photo was taken at the very end of January 2021... Nikon S2, Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2.8, TMax 400...
...

Aside from the great tonality (which I can never get with TMax), that’s a very good, nicely composed photo.

Looking forward to posting heaps of images this month - loving my S2, particularly with the voigtlander 21mm. Very compact, easy to focus, just a joy to use. Will use this as a reason to shoot the 50 1.4 a bit as well - don't love the low contrast & glow at wider apertures, and if i don't love it stopped down I might pick up a VC 50 2.5 Skopar if I can find one cheap.

This shot on Ektachrome from last month.

A few landscapes from the past week with the W-Nikkor 3.5cm f/2.5 and Fuji Pro 400H. Not sure where all the people went...

Lot of good photos so far. I made an attempt to get out today as the meds wore off, but then I remembered the finder for my 35mm lenses was seized up, so I figured I still had time to do a quick lube on it.

Getting it apart was easy. Putting it back together was hard as the cam follower spring did not want to cooperate. So it took around an hour, and by that time I figured I wouldn't be able to get where I wanted to be with any decent light left. Plus it is still fairly cold for my fingers, so I 'll wait for the warm up tomorrow and give it another try. At least now I'll be able to grab the bag and go!

This is indeed an excellent photograph, both for the composition and the way the three people pop out of the diffuse mist. BTW that guy in the foreground must be 2.15m tall, or so ! His bike frame looks to be a 64 and the seatpost is extended as well. ;)

Nice one, Bingley. I thought it was one of Erik's photos upon first glance. The tone and composition have a certain quality that I can also recognize in many of his photos.

Really loving this 21 - not an optic unique to the S mount, but a great package. Love how compact the package is, and one handed focusing makes it a great little point and shoot.

Thank you, I take that as a big compliment!

Erik.

Ha!! So do I!! Actually, I too admire Erik’s photographs, and have been using his film/developer combination (TMax 400/Perceptol 1:2), so that might explain the resemblance between this photo and some of his.

Thank you to Highway 61 and Peter Jennings for your kind comments!
