The F6! Post your photos here!

Nice picture! Did the supposedly-coupled-to-AF matrix metering arrive at this exposure by itself? Or did you compensate?

You're very kind, Barry - thank you.

I'm told one shouldn't have out of focus things in front of a subject, but rules are there to be broken.

I don't seem to be able to stop making inappropriate combinations of film and developer, and worrying at them until they work. This is XP2 Super (what else!) at ISO 200 in Diafine, and developed with continuous agitation for 5+5 minutes in the motorised Rondinax.:

I'm afraid I cut off the top of my head, but there was only me at home and I needed to try it out. Anyway, I'm delighted with the minimal grain and thus the film was not wasted.

After a long saga involving three donors and an eventual bone marrow transplant I was finally discharged home a couple of days ago. Finding myself with camera and film, I thought I'd do a series of self-portraits which may be a bit too honest for comfortable viewing. It's been an intense experience, and I still don't know how it will turn out. Wears you down a bit.

It is nice to know that I haven't forgotten how to process a film after an eleven month gap! All are F6, 85/1.4, SB600, XP2 @200, Diafine in motorized Rondinax and Nikon 9000 scans. Feels good to be doing it again.

^ Hi Chris! When I saw you had posted something I expected to see a portrait of your wife or son, not you. Words fail me a bit, all I can say is hang in there and I hope to see more post from you in the future.

All the best,
Mike

Sounds like a seriously scary uncomfortable experience, Chris. Welcome back and best wishes!

Hey, Chris, I am of course sad that you have had to endure such an experience. But I am happy to see that you have gotten through all of that, been discharged and you are actually working on what may be your most personal project ever. It has to be a profound decision and the fact that you are actually shooting again is inspiring. Thank you for sharing your images as you have all along.

Even though I have not been around much, I have always appreciated your work, and I will continue to do so. Be strong, you have so much to give and we appreciate you.:)
