As I recently explained to the redoubtable Helen Hill after she posted her Central Park duck image "Gliding..."(<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/helenartemishill/51248813295/in/dateposted/">www.flickr.com/photos/helenartemishill/51248813295/in/dat...</a>), the ducks in Glasgow, and especially in my own neighbourhood Queen's Park, are bigger - much bigger!

I wonder why?
