vitessa ultron 50/f2

I'm preparing to test a Vitessa T.
The plunger mechanism requires some use of the "Force" ... if I use my left thumb, it works 99% of the time. :D

These have been posted elsewhere on the site, but I thought I would add them here. I think the Ultron a great lens.

Bumping this thread. Great photos here!

I recently bought a Vitessa A2, via an estate sale, in beautiful cosmetic condition. It's got the Ultron lens. Does anyone know what filter size this model takes? I bought a hood and set of filters but they don't fit (too large). I've read that the Ultron on the later Vitessas had a larger filter thread size. Do folks use filters on their Vitessas?

I think the Ultron 50mm f2 is a superb lens. Although I don't have a Vitessa, I do own a fine example of this lens on my Vito III (1955),in a Synchro- Compur - XM shutter. The Vito III is a very fine camera and very pocketable but was not produced in great quantity, so rather difficult to find these days.
As P.LYNNE MILLER say's the Ultron is one of the best 50mm lenses ever made and I agree.
