Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

The leaves are all red, orange and falling. The weekends weather is supposed to be very nice. Best of all I just acquired 8 rolls of Kodachrome.. and my 2 main camera bodies are gone for repair AGGGHHH!!
still have a Canonet though. I have been trying to debate in my head if I should shoot the Kodachrome with it or wait.. ideas anyone?

I'm planning on messing around with some very slow exposures again ... up to thirty seconds with an aperture of around f16 using 400 film in near zero lighting and people in the shots. The thing I like about doing this sort of stuff is often as not I haven't a clue how they're going to turn out ... anything other than a blank negatve is a bonus! :p

Haven't decided yet. Trying to decide if I want to take the 4x5 out with some HP5, or the IIIf with the Summar. I'll probably flip a coin when I get up in the morning! ;)

Friday night and the options are open, but my Sunday night many have fallen to the wayside.
I need to finish 2 half shot rolls in cameras
Diafine - time to mix it and try it out
Chicago Club mtg - so many things happening Saturday - hope to make it
Fall colors - only if it doesn't rain
Darkroom - need to block off the windows and fire up the ol' enlarger

Not too much. It's been raining a lot here & I just sent all my money away in the mail. Of course, I'll be getting a CV 35/2.5 LTM Color Skopar for it... ;) Hopefully next weekend will 1) be dry 2) still have some color and 3) have that lens in my hands.

Raid: How's that Hex working for you?

As I type this, it's raining fairly hard here in Gotham. The rest of Saturday promises to be a washout (though somehow, as a disgruntled Mets fan, I'm curiously at peace with this situation...). Sunday should be better, but at most I'll have my trusty Contax Tvs at hand, probably loaded with either XP-2 or BW400CN; The weekend for me will be more of a busman's holiday than anything else.

I just received reala_fan's Rollei B35 and am itching to try it out. Wet and dreary day here, though, and I don't have a car this weekend. Suburbia in the rain is less than inspiring, I find. I think I'll wait until tomorrow and throw some Walgreen's/Fuji 200 in there for testing.

Hi Barrett,
I love using the Hexar RF camera. I view it as a large CLE. It feels very solid, and the only fun spoiler has been the postings on the lack of reliability of the camera. I got the camera for $250, having two minor flaws which I managed to find the spare parts for.

Use ASA 400 B&W film, and shoot away in the rain. There are plenty of possibilities for photography from under a tree or from inside a car with the windows down [but you have no car this weekend].

Went out today with best intentions.Need to test out the M2 which I bought from Ffordes in April. It has been back to them twice because of shutter problems. Only just returned. Alas just as in Gotham it`s been heavy rain and strong winds all day. Maybe tomorrow.

I hear you but the only 400 in the house is my two remaining rolls of Leverkusen made APX400. That stuff is too nice for testing purposes. Tomorrow, partly sunny, still some nice foliage here, I'll "risk" a $2 roll of Walgreen's.

What you should be talking me into is getting off the %$#@ internet and do some processing and scanning. ;)

As I type things here, I take breaks to take photos at home and also outdoors.

I once "killed" 6-8 rolls of APX25 120 film, not knowing then that the film ha dbecome expensive.

Hello Keith,
I experimented with such scenes over 20 years ago while I was using only SLR equipment. Often, I get no people at all or just ghost images.

Ah, Barrett, have a heart. My mom-in-law is 90 and lived in the Bronx for over 85 of that. She needs to see the Yankees win it a least one more time.

And I'm saying this from deepest Red Sox Nation. Surely you can find it in your heart, no?

I completed a roll of film with the Summarit wide open, and next I have the Heliar 50mm 3.5 lined up for tomorrow.

I'll be interested in the Heliar results. I'd love to be able to afford one - it would be a good sunny day walkabout lens with my IIIf.

William,
I made the mistake to try out both Heliar 50mm lenses, and I liked both. Both did well in my recent 50mm lenses comparisons.

It's weekend again! Get out the camera and lenses, and get active.
I will try to get some quality time with my CZJ 5cm 1.5 on Sunday.
Tomorrow I will attend my daughter's birthday party.

What will you be up to?
