Re: lens hood

Agree 100% and another one waiting to post his ZI here... :D
Just a question... I heard that sometimes lens hood can interfere with the viewfinder.. is that the case for the ZM 35/2? Despite my usual preference for the 28 mm focal lenght, I'm reconsidering the 35 mm as a better framing inside the viewfinder (more space around the lines = more time to compose the image)

That is correct, the lens hood does interfere with the VF, it don't bother me none:bang:

Zeiss Ikon Contessa

I got stunningly sharp images from this vintage camera. I shoot digital and if Zeiss ever comes out with a digital body, I'm all over it. I now shoot an M8 with mostly CV glass, but slowly migrating to ZM glass. (Also have a Hasselblad kit, but just prefer digital.)

You know what guys?
Most of you mention the fact "oh! Look what was in the mail today..." and this makes me smile because it looks it's Santa Claus sending them for free !!! hahaha If there is a way to do so, please tell me !!!

I'm not product photographer, but here it is:

Griptac is one of the many coverings you can get from cameraleather.com. I have it on a few of my cameras and like it a lot. I had rubbed holes through my original covering on my Ikon so it was time for a replacement. I wish there was a metal grip for the Ikon. I just got back from a month in Thailand/Cambodia and the Ikon was a champ through the whole thing.
