21mm Super Angulon

Finally had time to develop some film. Most of these are on Tri-X (pushed 3 stops), the second and last were shot on Tmax 400 pushed 1.5 stops. This is easily my new favourits lens :) i'm looking to pair my collection down to just the 21 SA, a 50 Summicron and my M3 - nice and simple.

A lot of great shots here. Keep them coming.

The 21/3.4 SA is even good on a cropped digital sensor:

But of course really shines on film:

Wow, Helen, the light on the head of the guy nearest you...that pic is amazing. These are all terrific--probably the best actual photos in any of the lens-centric threads on this forum.

Of course, the true master with this lens was Jean Loup Sieff - goggle his site and drool!

Oh my... stunning collection of work!

There is a very simple solution to all this. Do what I do - never sell or get rid of a lens! OK, the cabinets are bulging a bit - but I sleep well, not regretting any of these "disposals".

This is the last thing I need to hear, Tom! I am wrestling with decision to clear out the cabinet, it is full of lenses that I have not used in months. But I am sure that as soon as I sell them I will regret it. It is just that my budget is straining to keep up with my new acquisitions without some funding provided by the sale of assets.

Helen... I thought you sold your S-A...

I really like it as well, Craig. I actually like the negative space in the image.

Another from me. Grand Bazaar, Istanbul.
