OM, I've become a Zuikoholic!

From my OM-4Ti and Zuiko 50mm f1.4 SC on Ilford HP5+

Keith: Maitani should have made way more of those, thus lowering the price for peasants comme nous.

It's funny ... I've never wanted that focal length for a rangefinder but I do see it as ideal on an OM where I often seem to be switching back and forth between 50 and 35mm.

I may wind up selling my 50mm 1.2 and buying the 40mm f2 ... but I know at some stage I'd regret selling the 50mm 1.2 so that's probably not a good idea!

:p

Keith, don't you even think about it.

BTW, even though I did get a digital camera, at least it's still an Olympus. I won't be giving up my OM1 and Zuiko lenses, though I may start letting someone else process my film. The thrill of developing my own film has worn off a bit for me.

Also, I'm continually amazed at the longevity of this thread and the quality of the posts. There are some very good photographs showing up here.

And it's great to see some shots from the 40/2 since it is a pretty rare lens. The 40 and 85/2 are on my wish list, but I'm not likely to get either any time soon unless I win the lottery! Getting the E-P3 and taking my wife on a vacation have left me with a case of financial anemia!

I have been playing with Kodak Gold 200 lately in my OM2n. Both on what I am fast seeing as the wonderful 28mm f/3.5, well admittedly I have been using it for 2-3 years now, but it's a stunning lens, I can't think of a single lens apart from the 75mm Rokkor on the Autocord that I get such consistent results from. It's really helped me define an aesthetic too.

Get a really nice dedicated film scanner. It will make you forget all about digital once you start seeing the results.

This thread is running low on camera porn, don't you guys think? I am recently the very happy owner of a Mint++ 40mm f/2.0 purchased from a fellow RFF'er, and boy does my 3Ti love this little jewel already. I can't believe how smooth and well-dampened the focusing and aperture rings are. Looking forward to finishing the first roll of Pan F :)

I think you've just gone onto several people's 'ignore list!' :p

Oh my, looking good on your 3Ti! :) Funny (and gratifying) to see a lens one owned now in use on a different continent!

Also kind of you to honor (for the time being ;-)) Trius' request of "Please to not post shots made with Zuiko 40/2 ..."... just a glory shot OF a Zuiko 40/2 :)

Greetings, Ljós

This is looking too sexy, to be allowed, to be shown in public!
