Lovely shot with the Skopar 25 kuuan. You must have been very close to your subject.

beautiful and clean bike, very well taken. Gives appetite to jump on it to ride into that distant light.

this one is uncropped, another bike a bit similar yet so different with Canon LTM 2/35

A supplicant's view of an amazing construction, Andreas. Is it a spiritual or religious offering? What is the background on penjors?

Robert yes, penjor it is a 'religious, spiritual thing'. Usually they adorn the streets, in front of house entrances, during Galungan, the most important religious festival of the year, and are much more elaborate and colourful. A quote: "The Sri Jaya Kasunu manuscript states that the penjor symbolizes the mountain and the mountain itself is the symbol of the universe. Therefore, for the Balinese the penjor is synonymous with Mount Agung, the highest and holiest mountain in Bali. " taken from: http://id.indo.com/featured_article/hindu_penjor.html
Galungan is not on now, but it was Saraswati festival 2 days ago when the farmer had set up this pole in front of a small shrine on the rice field. Not during Galungan, not on the street, but I am pretty certain that nevertheless is qualifies as 'penjor'. About the Saraswati festival: http://www.somewhereintheworldtoday.com/festivals/saraswati-festival-bali/
can look very impressive, see the google results: https://www.google.com/search?q=pen...mbvJAhXMWY4KHdAhB4EQ_AUIBygB&biw=1536&bih=731
resp. earlier photos of penjors of mine, not taken with the A7, therefore I only link, adorning the street: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/5912289815/in/album-72157626972978005/

oh, this one I can add, also taken today with a Canon LTM, the 1.8/85, on the A7, same penjor:

this is to show how well the halfframe Olympus 'Pen-F' f3.5/100, or "E.Zuiko Auto-T 100mm f3.5", is working on the FF Sony A7. There is some vignetting at the very last corners but for most of my photography this is not an issue
all taken during Ngrukup parade at the eve of Nyepi, the Balinese New Year
High ISO, first one little day light left for others it was very dark, first one top right corner brightened up in PP, last one top, right corner cropped
