FSU Photography Contest 2010 Rules

Excellent! I'll break out the medium format Kiev's. I need to exercise my Mir-26 45mm and the "Holy Grail' 30mm Arsat fisheye!

My FED-2 (b) came today from fedka.com. Here she is, her pert self, with an Industar-50 aboard:

Really a nice looking, nice-handling camera. Love the diopter!

Glorious Comrades of Socialist Photography! Let us unite under the banner of Soviet cameras and 35mm & 120 film! Down with the Imperialist Digital Aggressors and their Pixel-Peeping Lackeys! May our Kievs / Zorkis / Smenas / FEDs demonstrate the superiority of Soviet technology to all peace-loving (and photography-loving) peoples of the world!

Photographers of the World, Unite! You have nothing to lose but your megapixels!

Still got about 200 negatives to scan from my trip to the Czech republic. Hopefully I run into something interesting to add to the contest gallery ;)

FED-2b had curtain holes. Replaced with a FED-2d. First entry is made in the contest gallery. Agriculture and industry are next. Power to the people!

Greetings, now some may have noticed that i have a scanning problem:D:D:D
This is the first time i have scanned a print to upload and i kinda knew it would be an experience that did not suit me.

Question is, can i remove and redo the same images? any tips would go well also.
Cheers and regards
CW

So let me get this. I can shoot on the 31st and still get them in the contest. I know that it is only 5 days away, but I have been lazy on checking the forum. Plus, monday is Memorial Day in the US.

"Daily upload limit exceeded"

"Daily upload limit exceeded"

Unfortunately I am still unable to upload my photos to any gallery - including the FSU 2010 Gallery. I always get a message stating that my photo exceeds my daily upload - it does not depend on the size of the photo, I've tried with very small photos and this message recurrently appears...
In the past I've reported the problem more than once and didn't get any solution. A message to the moderator got no answer either.
Any ideas?? Otherwise I will keep living with it...
Regards
Joao

I might have a solution for this:

When I tried to upload too many pictures (or too big), I also get the message about daily upload.

Maybe there are pictures in the queue (have a look under "Gallery" and then press "upload photos") ? It's possible that pictures that you tried to upload earlier stay in your queue until you remove them.
Right now, mine shows this "Images in your queue: 0".

You get access to the queue by hitting the "upload/submit" button on the upload-screen. Then you should see the queue and you can then remove any "sticking" pictures.

Stefan.

I just went to check out the gallery and it said voting has started, but only 1 vote is allowed? If voting really has started, how would we vote for the individual categories? Or is it just an error that voting has started?

I'm not sure the idea was to vote by category. One vote would be OK with me. Let's give people time to develop and scan, though. I have two rolls to get through this weekend myself.

Hey guys,

Sorry I have been out, I had a close friend of mine lose his brother in a car accident. Since I was his and his brothers "best friend" I felt like I should at least help my friend get it together for the end of the year exams so he can graduate.
