Were you panning w/slow shutter a speed?
It was a kind of semi pan. It was taken around 9.30/10pm last summer so not completely dark but dark enough for a slower shutter speed. I noticed the dog sitting in the basket quite late so did a kind of quarter turn whilst walking and pressing the release. Not a true (or at least decent) panning action and at first wrote the shot off as a failure but I think I quite like the wavy blur, for the moment at least.
Allen, thank you

Well thank you! It was a bit dark for Ektar though, so can't really be completely happy with these.

Nah I think that first one is literally perfect. Second one, maybe. First one the mood is conveyed so well with the colors. Absolutely love it. Where are you based? I checked out your Flickr and saw lots of stuff from around Asia.

I'm at the moment based in Finland. I've been these last years busy writing a PhD on Chinese politics, so I've come to spend a lot of time in that direction, traveling pretty extensively among others in South-East Asia.
I partly took up photography as hobby because I was living in Shanghai and folks back home were interested in seeing how my local neighborhoods looked like.
