Flippin' The Bird

Hey, nothing delivers "the bird" like an RX1...save for maybe an RX1R ;)

Nice set of photos! Enjoy your camera Robert :)

Thank you, David.

I talked to the eye doctor and his prescription for immediate visual happiness was: RX.

;-)

Hah!

Hah!

You have a savvy doctor Robert. And these look great. There really is something special with this lens-sensor marriage IMHO.

Uncorrected barrel distortion in the first one above. I don't seek patterns that will invite it, but there it is and luckily it's a little fix in LightRoom.

I am thinking about 'it' or going to an M9/M-E

So is there not much Love for the Sony....
Do like it's full frame , fixed 35 f2
major drawback no VF but hey you can always buy one

How is the menu and dials... ??

I wouldn't buy into the RX1/R if you're concerned about menus, dials or firmware, Helen. The body feels well made, but the interface is decidedly "meh". But that Sonnar is lush wide open <3 Best digital camera I have owned, bar none. So good, in fact, I bought it twice.

Three very different images with the same compact tool.

I do prize the EVF, but a devoted streetshooter could do with a good optical viewfinder.
Menus stay out of the way if you keep your settings simple, e.g. Manual, BW, fixed iso, lens wide open, speed-wheel beneath your thumb. (This is what what I do with any/every digital camera since my first GRD.)
