All photos taken by me, circa 1990.

Mostly I find boats and ships to be enjoyable and fun.
An "around the cans" race out of the Cruising Yacht Club when I was a sailing member on a friend's boat.

Though of course for some people..........not so much.

These are war relics from the Solomon Islands. Its sad to think what happened to these ships and their crew, but it's an instructive lesson in history and the destructiveness of war.

Some photos from the ss Rotterdam, taken this weekend on the" World Harbour Days" in the Rotterdam Harbour.

This old lady, a beauty of former days is now converted to a hotel / restaurant / theatre.
Still a very elegant ship and a far cry of the current cruising megamonsters.

Lac Leman, Switzerland. Sony DSC-F828, my first digital camera. It had an 8-megapixel CCD sensor and an excellent Zeiss mechanical zoom lens.

This is of the Muir Milach at night. This boat is a Hake fisher. Hake is a cod family fish but not as tasty. The crew tells me it is for dog food and Surimi. It is about the same quality as Pollock. Anyway, here is a night shot of the Muir Milach. M-9 with a Jupiter 8 IIRC.
