I've been riding a couple of vintage BMW's for the last 15 years. This season, I'm switching to this CB750 K5 just for a change. I got my license plate today and went for my first ride on it. (80 miles)

No the Green Elephant who was name giving for the "Elefanten Treffen" was the post war Zündapp KS 601.

the KS 750 was a pure military constraction with driven sidecar wheel and off road gear reduction - a very interesting and marvelous construction - a friend of mine is restaurating one.
 
My friend's Minimalist. He is going to fashion, from aluminum, a tank cover that will look like, well, a real tank. Of course he will finish the seat. That's pretty much it. 450cc liquid cooled, 50 hp. Bike weighs 200 lbs.
