The Official RFF FIFA World Cup 2010 Thread

As a half-Brazilian, that's the only game I really care about :)

I sure hope they don't disappoint!

They never do... World cups come and go, players come and go, but Brazil is always the team that plays beautifully and amazes the whole world... Now, add garotas and caipirinhas and we're in heaven!

Cheers,

Juan

I'm worried. Mexico is in trouble now facing France. Hopefully they can pull something.
And I can't wait for Brazil VS N.Korea. I PRAY that N.Korea wins.

Oh, but they do. Last World Cup was a disaster for Brazil. We had a good young team on the bench but the coach decided to let the old lazy bast*rds play.

Of course, for Brazil, anything but first place is an utter disappointment :)

Pray as you wish but the most high told me that championships are to be won by those whose practice is beautiful. Doubt not therefore in Brazil's beauty --- and thus in its victory.

Sometimes Brasil consists only of 10 narcisstic field players who want to dance with the ball as long as they can. When the trainer achieves that they play together, then they are great. When not, they "die in beauty". When I remember right they failed last championships because the individuals were not able to work as a team. Let's see how it is this time.

Just found out that only 3 countries officially use the term soccer instead of football. That's Canada, Samoa and the US.

If you watched the game last night you saw that some of the American players still seemed to get a bit confused about the fact that you can't use your hands in this kind of football :D

not quiet right...you have to add Switzerland!
They even say "penalty" instead of "Elfmeter" and "corner" instead of "Eckball". Strange, isn't it?

You don't remember correctly. Last World Cup they failed because that imbecile of a coach decided to only let all his old players play instead of giving the fresh young players a go. Brazil had a great team in the last World Cup but unfortunately it had to sit on the bench for the whole tournament.

Say what??? We sure don't say ''Soccer'' here in Switzerland. And yes, we do say ''penalty'' and ''corner'' but so do the English. What's your point??
