Best pocketable point and shoot

My original Ricoh GRD is still whirling away.

It is truly pocketable and fairly decent at making photos.

I second Smaug’s opinion. Skip the hip and just have fun.

Much as I like the Olympus µ range and have film in one at the moment (µ[mju]-V); I am not convinced they are a good long term choice. OTOH I have had XA's and XA2's and XA3's since the day some of them first appeared and two of them are still working but the XA3 has gone in for some sorting out to be done by the usual experts.

And I do like the Trip 35 even though it is a lot bigger because it takes a lens hood.

To me, a "pocket camera" has to be small in order to fit in a pocket. But I generally don't like the idea of a camera sharing pocket space with lint, keys, coins, etc. This one lives in a belt pouch instead...

Here's my smallest camera, the Canon ELPH Jr with APS film Kodak BW400CN

This gent’s camera shop is not a very busy place, but it’s fun to drop in and chat. And buy something if he digs out something I want, but he keeps trying to sell me an oddball finder part for a Pentax LX or a 110 Instamatic slide projector...
