deals on film - post here!

If you're in the UK (I'm not, at present--I've been in Florida the past couple of years), Total Blank Media has very good prices on Ilford films: https://www.totalblankmedia.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=ilford&osCsid=tdqhatu9euqtkgrg6rol7f1li5. I'm not sure how that compares to current prices at other UK stores, but when I lived in London, I used to regularly duck into their brick-and-mortar shop--it's just a few doors east of Aldgate East Tube Station--and grab film, primarily 120, whenever I needed it.

I didn't search their site just now for anything other than Ilford, but they used to carry a bit of Kodak Gold in 35mm and Fuji Superia 400 and maybe a couple of other things. Their colour film offerings were pretty slim compared to B&W though.

I picked up a few rolls of FOMA 400 from Freestyle. It was $3.74/roll (also). I bought a couple other items I needed also to help offset the shipping charge.

Kodak ProImage 100.
5x 36 exposure for $44CAD.
Shipping to Canada for two boxes was $12CAD.
Source is in Taiwan so delivery will take a few weeks. That is fine because we are still cold, dark and grey here in The North.

Kodak 0086806034463 Pro Image 100 135-36x5 https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004FPYBX8/

Assuming no tax collected on entry into the country this works out to $2-5/roll cheaper than typical price in Canada if you are outside the major cities.

It's not my favorite, but I kind of like the aesthetic in a small fixed-lens camera like this Ricoh 500G shot, developed in Rodinal semi-stand.

By no means an every time style, but can be fun. I wanted to get some Foma 200 so I can try that one out more extensively, but it's been out of stock most places for some time. I usually use Foma 100 but want something more flexible to combat the higher Ilford prices for HP5.

It is fun because you never are sure what you are going to get. I bought some recently to test for light leaks on a few cameras. One camera was an Agfa Isolette II the pictures came out (some of them) a little surreal:

Propacks from B&H are $36CAD and you get free ship after $99

I don't know if any of you saw the special at Adorama on Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros II a couple of weeks ago. The 135/36exp was half off, and the 120 was two dollars off (per roll on both for five rolls) so I ordered a five pack of each. The 135/36 was two months past expiry, and the 120 expires in Feb 2022. It all went right into the fridge. Still, not a bad deal. They must have sold all of it by now as the prices are back where they were before ($49.95 for five rolls of either size).
