images: legacy lenses on the Fuji X-Pro and X-E cameras

It's Rainbow Imaging ... here's the link to where I got it. It's actually very sturdy. Probably could have done OK with it instead of the Fuji, but I figured I would try some of the lens corrections Fuji offers, although I haven't yet.

Oh, I see. Thanx! Never heard about this brand name. Looks pretty much solid and well build. Also price is more than Good. Hopefully it's not gonna give any focus shift for m-leses (known issue for cheap "noname" adapters). I'm using Voigtlander adapter - working without any problem, but kind expensive.

From a walk around the local reservoir using the Nikon 24-85f2.8-4.. It is kind of nice having a zoom which is now a f2-2.8 due to the effects of the speed booster.

Shot with new to me Summaron 35/3.5, X-E1. Here's the little beast:

I was commenting recently that the XF35/1.4 in particular is so good that there is not a lot to be gained by using modern Leica glass on the X-E1. But there is lots of fun to be had with lenses that have 'character' - hence the new Summaron. As you can see, lots of flare at the top owing to the bright sky.

But then the question is how to process the digital file to preserve the old school look - in the end I opted for fairly low contrast and very little 'clarity' adjustment, plus a bit of grain. Otherwise you just end up with another sharp contrasty image which could have come from any other lens...

Any thoughts about processing?

Cheers,
Kirk
