While going through some old gear lately I came across a couple RC-1 remotes I used to use with an Elan IIE. Tried one on the EOS M and it worked! It has two settings, the first for immediate release the second for a 2 second delay. Being infrared, it has to be pointed at the front of the camera, something I got quite used to shooting film. I much prefer this older unit to the one I just bought as it is smaller and has a holder that goes on a strap.
