I’ve been traveling but hope to develop and scan a roll from my Contax IIa taken over the last few days. In the meantime, here are some photos from a road trip in June 2021.

Bingley, very nice work. Made me want to get going with a 35mm 2.8 Biometar toss-away I cleaned up [after taking me over a year trying on-and-off to figure out how to take it apart....fungus under front element was gunk from someone bathing it with cleaner!] with some Portra 400 in a Contax 1 (f) I overhauled.

Thank you very much! The post-war Biogon is a special lens. Looking forward to seeing your pics with the Biometar!!

Well, I have not used the Contax, but I did shoot my Voigtlander SC Skopar 21mm f4 on a Kiev 4a. Since we are allowing Kievs (which are Contax's or derivatives in later models), I thought I would add a few shots. Basically, I wanted to photograph Prado dam. It is very wide, and I can be close or very far (going back drops off and there are obstructions). I tried my Mamiya C330f with the 55mm f4.5 lens close-up, and it just was not wide enough (I did create a composite shot from 2 negs). As a back-up I brought the Kiev 4a and SC Skopar 21mm, and was able to get the whole dam pretty close with no issues. It is not as high resolution, but still a decent shot. In both cases (120 and 135) I used Ilford Delta 100 developed in ADOX FX-39 II.

Here are a couple of other shots from the rest of the roll (more coming):

Here are some Contax photos taken earlier this month out on the San Mateo County Coast south of Half Moon Bay. Contax IIa, Zeiss Opton Sonnar 5cm f1.5, Cinestill Double X in D96 Monobath:
